First part from August 2019 to September 2020 Punta Ala (Italy) – Mackay – Darwin (Australia)
OUR TOUR STARTS FROM PUNTA ALA and independently we will arrive in Las Palmas of Gran Canaria where Ariel will participate in the ARC PLUS 2019, that is the Atlantic crossing passing through Cape Verde and with final destination S. Lucia, then home of the departure of the ARC WORLD.
World ARC is a 15-month, around-the-world adventure covering 26,000 nautical miles. Following the classic route of the Ruling and Bearing Winds, the rally avoids regions of political instability, piracy and storm seasons in both hemispheres.
You can join St. Lucia or Australia, take a half-turn or do the full circumnavigation. The boats that leave after half a turn can join the next edition to complete their circumnavigation (this is Ariel’s project).
World ARC is a mix of company cruising and free time to explore. The pace of the rally allows the fleet to be together and enjoy the activities on the ground as a group. There are longer free cruise periods that allow participants to fly home for work or family, or to travel further by air; for example to Easter Island, New Zealand or Madagascar.
Project for the first half of the tour which is scheduled to depart from Punta Ala in July 2019 with a route to the Balearics, Spain and Gibraltar.
Atlantic Ocean:
Gibraltar – Lanzarote – Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) September 2019
Las-Palmas – Cape Verde (Arc Plus) November 2019

HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?
Ariel with Paolo and Cecilia are happy to host friends on board, however previous offshore sailing experiences have taught us that it is not enough to want to participate in one or the other route, since not everyone is allowed to participate. We can say this after thousands of miles of experience and we prefer to make a selection before leaving to guarantee to all the people who will join that it is a truly unique and unrepeatable experience.
The selection will take place like this:
- form to fill out
- preliminary meeting with Paolo and Cecilia to define the general aspects and if it is suitable for everyone
- a second meeting for details (flights, baggage, travel insurance, health aspects)
Once you have established that you will be with us, the official booking will be formalized with payment of 30% of the amount foreseen for the single or double route chosen.
The balance will be payed one month before departure.
For crossings over 800 miles, the maximum number of guests on board will be 2.
For crossings of less than 500 miles and for stops in the selected islands – i.e. without demanding navigations, (S. Blas, Galapagos, Polynesia) for periods of 8 / 10 days – it will accommodate 3 people, leaving the forward cabin (which can be used for half) to one person.
To facilitate the luggage the fee includes: Set of bath towels (3 units), Bed linen and night sleeping bag. 24 hour medical assistance.
